Abstract
The Z13-cipher is the thirteen-symbol string sent with the Zodiac's April 20, 1970, letter to the San Francisco Chronicle, introduced by the line “My name is.” Most attempts treat the string as a hidden civic name or pseudonym. This article proposes a different solution: under that prompt, the structural answer is ME - a self-referential completion that withholds a legal name. The reading follows from the carrier frame, constraints in the solved long ciphers, and an internal layout of the symbol line (center as L, six-and-six split, flanks as NAME / NAME, M and E combined as ME). The claim is structural. It is not offered as a unique homophonic key for every symbol unless that key is stated separately.
